This "WEATHER" environmental category, linked with all of the other categories helps sustain our environment. Students are encouraged to investigate storms, snow, rain, weather disasters and other weather related issues by incorporating classroom subjects, content standards, real world information, and youth group badge or patch requirements. The integrated projects, partnership collaborations and community service help improve the community and world!
WEATHER PROJECTS
Students investigate local / global weather patterns and storms. They conduct economic analysis of storm damage and help people clean up after a storm or flood. Students investigate the effects weather has on plants and animals and how El Nino events change the weather. Students set up weather stations and make weather announcements at the school. They learn about weather careers such as the skills and training necessary to become a meteorologist.
